Inwang Yoksa (Kumgang Yoksa)
The final two figures in the entrance foyer represent Inwang Yoksa or Kumgang Yoksa, guardian
figures often found flanking the doors of temple buildings. While the great physical strength with
which they are attributed is obvious from the musculature of the carvings, these figures are also said
to be possessors of great wisdom. As depicted here, one has an open mouth and the other a closed
one; both are over 2 meters high.
